Max-Olivier Houtris
Max Houtris is a young freelance musician in the Cleveland area holding both a Masters and a Bachelors degree in trombone performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Max has performed with many of Cleveland's regional orchestras, gigs regularly in chamber groups, and is currently the low brass instructor at the Beck Center for the Arts as well as the principal trombone of the Fox Valley Orchestra. While his areas of study focus in classical training, Max is an avid freelancer in the Cleveland area, working with jazz combos, salsa bands, and big bands throughout the city. A certified Avid Pro Tools User, Max has combined his passion for music and media with videography to work on projects for the Lake Affect Arts organization, UNICEF and the YaMa Low Brass Seminar in Japan with members of the Cleveland Orchestra.
